I really do not see what the benefit these criticisms of UK politics are bringing to the forum. Most of us live in Spain and it’s the decisions made by the Spanish government and the EU that will affect us. We need to share information that is relevant to our daily life in order to help one another rather then causing offence.

You're right that Boris, for all his faults is certainly Scotland's saviour from Covid restrictions. If it was entirely down to the sanctimonious, presbyterian, miserable, Kim Jong - Un clone and harbinger of doom running Scotland we'd be in lock down for eternity.
PS....not a huge fan!

I am booked on a flight to return to the UK on 1st March. I am okay to comply with the negative Covid test required on arrival but if it is required to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days at own expense as well, this will be unaffordable. Surely a negative test result provided by UK nationals from ...

Hi as far as I can make out it is only for countries on the red list and Spain is not on it. You must have a negative covid test 72 hours prior to leaving and 2 more apparently when you get back in Uk. Not too sure about the details of that though. Anyway it says if you are a Uk national you are allowed in with a negative test. The hotel thing starts on 15th of this month so if you want to be extra sure come back before then. Sorry I can't be any more help but the government changes things on a daily basis it seems. We are living on shifting sand atm. Good luck and safe travel

When the children return to school, they will probably be made to wear a mask. My 6 year old grandson has to wear one now and hates going to school. Prior to the mask wearing, he loved school. I dislike wearing a mask but to sit in a classroom for hours and wearing a face covering must be grim for a child.

Nothing has been said regarding the kids wearing masks,my daughter is a teacher and what they/their unions are pushing for is for all staff to have the vaccination before they return. If this doesn't happen, the number of teachers, teaching assistants, kitchen staff etc will drop significantly as they wont' be returning to work ...
