Hi there can you tell me the address or contact number of this gentleman please and does he speak English please x

Hi Lisa,

It's not a man, it's Uma of "Get Legal In Spain" - her website is: www.getlegalinspain.com and yes, she speaks English.

Kind regards,

Kim

We went to have our medical yesterday, organised by Uma, the one she used yesterday was in Rojales, she is representing us, and the others, today at the DGT offices and later this afternoon we should get our documents back and the temporary paper Spanish driving permits. Then we have to wait for the new licenses to be delivered to the DGT and are ready for Uma to collect on our behalf. We chose the delivery to DGT for the cards because we aren't convinced all of our mail arrives to our community mail boxes.

So far so good.

On the www.costacalidaforum.com San Pedro Del Pinatar, I found a interesting post by Gaza Tue 20th Oct 20, Topic NIE Card.

He states that on wanting to exchange/renew his uk driving licence, he was informed his residencia card issued last year was invalid and he had to apply for the new TIE Card to exchange/renew his licence.

He was also given a letter of explanation, that he has posted and states As of today, for uk citizens, the eu citizen registration certificate (green paper) will no longer be valid.

It is a interesting read, but remember he comes under The Murcia region and I have heard in the past their transport regulations can differ from region to region.

Just a update on my driving licence. I was concerned that when I received my new Spanish driving licence that the entitlements given on the back of the licence were only AM,B,BE, = only vehicles up to 3.5ton including trailers! I had taken away from my uk licence A,B1,C1,D1,C1E,D1E,F,G,H,K,L,N,P,Q,!!!! Well I was gobsmacked! I have been looking into this and received a reply from getlegalinspain stating in the uk everybody seems to get it (or used to, I passed my driving test 1977) with the title for cars, that’s why it’s restricted here in Spain, So they say you learn something every day.
