...and suspicion it’s become harder.I was very surprised back in June when European people that wanted to live in the U.K. had to sign up to register and nearly 6 million applied, mostly French, Spanish and Portuguese. The registration was free and no bank account were asked for.Please don’t think that I support England but I do think that there should be some sort of fairness,after all the U.K. government is always spouting about,Our friends in Europe,can’t imagine where or who they are.
Yes there are a few creepy crawly things. If I had decided to emigrate a few years earlier, I would be in Australia. However when I decided I looked at working life. If I moved to Australia I would have had to work for another 10 years. When I moved to Spain I could afford to retire at 55. No brainer really, but we already knew about brexit so we got residencia in January and moved in March. Maybe now with the effects of brexit I took the wrong decision, working or not. Being under state pension age, apart from the weather, the benefits of free movement, healthcare etc have now gone. It's still ok if you are above state pension age as your healthcare is covered by the UK. Healthcare I would say is the main reason for people returning.
