Relyat, I seem to read your comments like Garry 35. Your comments like dour etc suggest you don't like Pego. However, many of us do. Everyone has different opinions. I guess I'm very lucky that I don't have to live in a place that I don't like.

I can't remember saying that I don't like it here,  perhaps you'd be kind enough to to show me.

Have a look at your post on 31/1/22

Where you said you wouldn’t recommend Pego and you live here

Correct. I do live here, permanently, and have done for some years quite happily.

However, that is entirely different from recommending that others should live here.

A subtle difference perhaps, but a difference nonetheless.

I've always liked the places I've lived, mainly because I have chosen them.

Sorry but maybe I have read your comments wrong but I don’t think so

Why say you would not recommend your place of abode and then say you have lived here very happily for many years.

Sounds like a contradiction in terms to me.. either you would recommend where you live, and if you can’t, why say you have lived here very happily for a number of years.. doesn’t make sense to me

You've not misread me, but misunderstood me.

I can't recommend where I live to others as I have no idea what they like or what they are looking for. It would be like someone recommending celery to me, I can't abide the stuff.

I live where I choose to for my reasons, not someone else's. I accept that nowhere is perfect, at least I've not found it yet, but there are faults that I can put up with that another person wouldn't.

Read again FCFradet's post and try to be objective. You aren't defending the town, or your decision to live here, that is of no importance or interest to others.

Perhaps you'll be able to see the faults that there are here, faults that you and I, for our own reasons, can rationalise but others cannot. You have walked every inch of the town so you will know the parts of which we talk.

Fcfradets comments were, in my opinion very harsh coming from someone who doesn’t live in the town.

I didn’t misunderstand you at all, you agreed with all their negative thoughts and it just made me feel that maybe you didn’t want to live here anymore either.

You even said you would not recommend Pego to others, maybe because of the pandemic but you seem to have forgotten all the fantastic festivals that Pego has throughout the year.

It is well recognised that they are very well thought off and very professionally put together, which isn’t bad for a so called gloomy town.

It is not about defending the town, the first person who asked about Pego has in my opinion been totally fed the wrong information.

I was just saying what a fantastic place it is to live.

FCFradet has lived in the town, it's clearly stated in the post.

You feeling that maybe I didn't want to live here anymore is a misunderstanding of what I've written and how I feel. I write literally, not figuratively or emotionally and that can be misinterpreted.

I've explained, pretty clearly I thought, why I wouldn't recommend that others live here. If it's not clear I'd be happy to elucidate.

I've not forgotten the fiestas.

Is this the only town in Spain in which you've lived? If it is, then you've not experienced the life and fiestas in other towns. Before anything is said, remember this is NOT a criticism of you or anyone else.

Try to be objective. Any recommendations on somewhere to live made by a stranger are subjective..... we're back to celery again.

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree

I know FCFradet has lived here and for whatever reason has now moved to Ondarra.

You haven’t really explained your point of view, all you have done is agree with FCFradet.

Never mind, I love living here, and that’s all that matters to me.
