Interesting comment but the airlines claim that the air is filtered better on an airplane than in an operating theatre. A number of airlines have stated this. Most people who pick up bugs on planes probably do so by touching menu cards, magazines etc that have been touched by hundreds of people p...

...reviously.

Every single time we have flown for the past 5/6 years, I have brought anti bacterial wipes with me and cleaned everything from the seat belt buckle, the trays which are usually soiled , the window blinds, bistro/boutique , arm rests and any other area which my husband is likely to touch. I wear surgical gloves nowadays as well as my mask. I may come across as over the top but by taking extra precautions I have stopped both of us from picking something up on the flight. I’m just as careful during the winter at home too. Door handles , imagine, someone sneezes into their hand and then opens the door. I don’t want their germs thank you. Even public loos, I try to avoid ever using them but take extra care there too.The button to get a ticket in a car park is another area to be aware of. Gloves, gloves, gloves.  We must think and take precautions at all times if we want to stay healthy. They do say that we need to build a resistance to germs but at the moment I will just stay clear of them.

Almost the same extent here when flying. Bugs are literally picked up and that is why you should never handle inflight magazines etc. Thankfully due to Covid these are now not available on flights. However, it is very easy to be paranoid....cash points, touch screens, be sensible, be safe.

Yes, paranoid. That’s how I have become when touching public everyday things. Actually , it’s not that bad because I rarely go anywhere nowadays! Thank goodness for automatic doors.

I am flying on the 30th Alicante airport to Newcastle and have been informed off Ryanair the flight is definitely going ahead.
