Good afternoon all. We are considering retiring to Pilar de la Haradada in October this year. We have found a potential long term rental and was wondering if anyone had any advice for the move.

Many thanks.

If you are a UK citizen, have you applied for the NLV? If not then it may take you passed October to receive it, you cannot start the residency process in Spain without it. Take a look at the gov.uk website for more info.

When, or better before, renting anything you should familiarize with applicable Spanish laws (Ley de Arrenadmaineto Urbano) to avoid surprises and misunderstandings. It is impoortant to avoid "holiday home", pedts are usually not permitted, and much more...

Many thanks. Yep. NLV app in progress.  Appreciate that October may be optimistic.  Have time in hand though.

Regards
