Hi my husband and I have just purchased a property on campo verde and hope to relocate in November this year.

would be lovely to get to know people as we don't know anybody yet. Really looking forward to it. We do play golf so any society's we could join would be fab.

we are doing early retirement and really looking forward to new times and new beginnings.

hope to get to know everyone soon

Hi my husband and I moved out here in Campoverde in June this year and we also drove out with our dog! We are in the process of part exchanging our car for a new one but were told that it cost around 900Euro to change to Spanish plates and you can drive on UK plates for six months. We like living in Campoverde it's a nice friendly place. Good luck Pearl

Hi, can I ask which company you used as we are also looking to come over with our 2 dogs and belongings but prefer someone else to do the driving. Thanks, Marian

Expats give themselves a lot of grief over bringing their old cars over and a few things should be considered.

If you are going to bring the car over you have 6 months to get on Spanish plates, before technically illegal and car could be seized if spotted.

Insurance will be more

Difficult when you want to sell - so savings made on keeping them, will end up costing you anyway, as if you can sell, will be at a greatly reduced amount.

Safety - steering wheel on the wrong side. Don't scoff at this one, i've seen a few have an accident based on this alone. You can't always see to overtake, you can't always see around tight bends as clearly - there's a few things you need to be careful of.

Costs - will depend on the value of the car, though ballpark to switch over €200-€300 as long as you have owned the car for 6 months or more, otherwise you may be liable for further taxes.

My thoughts - if you have a cheap runaround which is not worth a fortune to begin with, then may be worth keeping - anything else, would get rid of in the UK first as likely to become a pain when you want to get rid of it.

Hi

We are hoping to buy in Campi verde when we find right place

Can anyone tell me if there are Senior care companies operating in the area ? Is there a need for care and support ?

I am thinking of relocating and starting a business

I have over 30 years experience and have worked for social services as well as running my own company

We visited and fell in love

My husband is a carpenter maintenance with many years experience and a craftsman he would also need work

Any views would be appreciated

Caron
