Yes, same amount of rot on both sides. I knew when I bought it it needed work.

Had it for 3 years then needed another project so sold it to buy my current one.

Yours looks stunning, I'm not up to date with modern stuff. Carrera 4S?

Hi......yes it's the C4s.

I like the older ones really like what you had. Bloody fortunes now. As always hindsight is a wonderful thing.....if only. I remember going to an auction about 10 years ago and some of the 1970s 911s were only fetching about 20 -30k. I seen one not so long ago 250k!........unbelievable.

I bought a 1988 Landcruiser LJ73 2 years ago. Its finally going for a full respray next week and I love the car. It's a LHD so it's going to Spain and the roof will be permanently off!

I have no experience with cars so most of the stuff I have to pay to get done.

What have you got around you at the moment? Any interesting projects?

I thought about selling the bronze Porsche to buy another as I like a project but can't bring myself to sell it.

The prices have peaked and you can get an air-cooled 911 for just under 40k depending what you buy. Like a lot of these things if you're not doing maintenance and repairs yourself they can be money pits.

I've got a receipt from the previous owner for a service £600!!! Oil, plugs, filters and 3 hours labour to check and adjust stuff. That was an independent garage. It hadn't even been serviced properly.

I bought this before lockdown to keep me busy. 1965 Lambretta - a genuine Italian bike. Only 8000km showing.

Completely stripped and rebuilt. Just finished it......

Now that is lovely! Great job. Did you do it all yourself? 🤪🥂

Well that bike does look nice......well done it looks really nice. Is that you're profession?

I literally sold 3 no. BSA Golden Flash 1960s yesterday to someone who can devote the time to them. All complete with enough spares to make another one.

I know I will regret it!

I've really been struggling for parts for this Landcruiser and what you have to buy brand new is absolutely fortunes.

Keep the Porsche!

Always been into cars but not my profession. That's my first bike, I don't even have a bike licence so need to wait another few weeks to be unlocked and complete a CBT.

What year is the land cruiser? It's amazing what Eurocarparts and carparts4less stock. Prices can be impressive too once you enter the website discount codes.

A complete clutch for an '83 911 Porsche made by LUK, the only people who make a clutch for that model and who supply Porsche themselves was £294. Porsche and independent suppliers were £600+

I did everything except paint it. Some things are beyond me.

Rebuilt the engine which was a massive learning curve but very satisfying. Sounds lovely and just makes you smile 😎

Was it a Boxster you had for you mid life crisis car?

Hey craig254t. It was; my husbands baby. He loves cars but more the driving of. He/ I know nothing about restoration or the tech. stuff. Just like cars really.

No laughing now. My beloved had the “weekend car” - Boxster, I had the “four seats”, an Audi A3 TSFI sport which was my very lively baby, and also a Toyota “work van”. When my beloved retired, as we now spend very little time in the U.K., we decided to go to one car - the Boxster.

Getting in and out of it at the weekend was one thing; fun. Getting in and out of it on a daily basis? Ooh, that was a different story. We had to let it go. What do we drive now? A “posh” Toyota 😂😂 🤪🥂

Hi...

I will take a look at the one site as I've tried the other one.

It's a 1988 70 series LHD. Came from France....changed to UK plates for ease and then will go to Spanish. I love it and its solid as a rock.

I've had loads of offers on it but I wont sell at the moment as going up in value. Ideal for Spain. I have a SWB shogun over there at the moment which is a 1997 and is also in great solid condition. Only paid 2500 euros for it.

Cant wait to get back to Spain but I will be driving over as soon as I can and bring some stuff over.

Hey Kimmy

But as my beloved reminds me - regularly😂 - at least we had them! Memories eh?

I’ll bet the French Madame couldn’t believe her luck 😂🤪🥂

No laughing here......you buy what you like because you like it.

Too many Porsche people sneer at the Boxster and the 924 "because they're not real Porsches".

Absolute nonsense and utter snobbery.

Porsche were nearly bankrupt because the 911 was costing too much to produce in their old outdated factory.

The Boxster actually saved the company from bankruptcy!!

I've had 2 and they are excellent, the howl from the exhaust at full chat just puts a smile on your face as does wafting about in traffic in the tiptronic auto. 😎

They are low to the ground though 😆🙈
