Hello all,

We are due to come to Campoverde on 9th August for 10 days. Now the 14 day quarantine has been introduced upon arrival home, we can no longer go due to my husband's work. On the news today, many people are still flying out even though the government advise against all non-essential travel. Easyjet are giving us the option of changing our flights to a later date or asking for a voucher but I am so torn. You have to decide by midnight tomorrow (30th) or you will be charged to makes changes after that. Should we travel and take the chance that everything will be fine, as i believe if you travel against government advice your insurance will be invalid. Will it be a nice holiday? Or just not turn up for the flights and claim on our travel insurance? Sorry for the long message, I just need some advice! Many thanks

Hi LoopyLou,

The same question has been asked recently- have a read of this thread:

Are we mad?

Kind regards,

Kim

If your husband travels knowing about the 14 day quarantine he may not have a job to go back to!
Nobody has a crystal ball, are these isolated outbreaks or the start of the second wave, nobody knows, only time will tell.
Personally I would re-arrange to a time when my husband's job wasn't on the line and I was covered by travel insurance.
