Hi, we're meant to be coming over 2nd August to the 18th. Are we mad to be thinking of coming over or is it ok and just isolated incidents of covid outbreaks.

If you are healthy and follow all the guidelines, then your visit should present no real challenge. However, if there is another spike while you’re here it might prove problematical returning to the UK.

I think anyone who books a holiday here in Spain this year is totally barking....

All the problem with Covid and the renewed threats of lockdown , wearing masks everywhere in this heat, only half the hotels, shops and restaurants open.......

I would certainly not travel in an aeroplane or a coach anywhere until I knew it was safe. Hey ho but that's just my own opinion. If you decide to come enjoy yourselves.

Thanks for your reply, we've had this booked from November last year, both of us have been working full-time throughout the pandemic, my wife in nightingale hospital and me in building maintenance for council. So feel as if we deserve a holiday but not if it's detrimental to our health.

My wife and myself are in the same boat as you, worked through the pandemic and booked early. We are second home owners and can’t wait to get out to Torrevieja. At the end of the day only you can chose. I think you deserve the break. Good luck

Everyone is welcome as long as they adhere to the restrictions here in Spain, they are not optional extras, is is essential that they are observed to protect both those new to Spain and all of us who live here. Things are very different from what you may have experienced on previous visits, social distancing, mandatory face masks, social life has changed with bars and restaurants having reduced capacity, some have closed permanently. Come and enjoy your holiday and stay safe.

Thanks Kevin, we're not home owners but rent a property when out, it's just the whole business of a 2nd lockdown happening when out there, we're so confused tbh.
