Cataract op waiting time

Can anyone advise of expected waiting times for a cataract operation at Torrevieja hospital please.

2 weeks ago I was set on a waiting list for catarct surgery. The messge was "in due time we'll let you know". .

For anybody with diabetes you may get fast tracked for cataract operations, in the UK this can happen

Hi Mandy
My missus was listed for a cataract operation in October, and had it done last week. She is Type 1 diabetic but I don't know if that impacted on the length of wait.

Thank you for the info. I too first went to my Dr in October followed by an appointment/assessment at a clinic in Torrevieja in January. Despite two further visits to my Dr & a letter have heard nothing. Can I ask how much notice did your wife have before her operation? Many thanks

Re notice of operation, she got a phone call asking her to go for the operation less than a week later! She also had an appointment with the anaesthetist before the operation.
