Airport bus

I am arriving on Friday and using the airport bus to Torrevieja I have heard about the ticket for €22. Does this ticket have a name and could I pay by card or cash only.

The airport bus from Alicante to Torrevieja costs 7 euro, not 22. You can book beforehand and pay online although this doesn't guarantee a seat or you can pay the driver. It was cash only last time I heard. From Torrevieja back there is a ticket office.

The card that the OP is asking about is the Tarjeta Bus , available fro Torrevieja Bus station or from the driver on Costa Azul/Avanza busses. Costs Euro2 for card and Euro20 to load on as credit. Can be refilled by Euro10 or 20 by driver. Gives discounted rates on travel (currently? 60cent instead of Euro1.65

I have this card. I’m not sure if the airport bus will hold the card in stock but would suggest showing him a photo and be near the top of the queue as it can take time to get the card loaded up. I have topped the card up on this bus so once you get sorted it will be grand and it reduces the cost to €3.15 each way
