Running groups

Hi Ray, 

I'm also a lover of running , 56 years young,  and have entered numerous 10k and half marathons (plus one marathon) since I've lived here. I may run in races but do it for my own goals and the camaraderie as I'm a solo runner normally. In Spain the races are great( just signed up fp my first 2 half marathons since the restrictions) as all the crowds line the streets cheering you on and music playing with bands on every 5k just a great uplifting experience. 

Anyway.....back to your question,  the only running club/group that I know of is the Torrevieja one. It's called Club Atletismo Torrevieja and has a website and Facebook page. It has runners of all ages, sizes and nations so if it appeals to you I'm sure they'd welcome you.

If you want any tips on races to enter or where to run just PM me and I'll try to help. I'm certainly no expert but dont know how well you know the areas as I live in La Siesta by La Mata Natural Park.

I have just moved to the area and I am a dance fitness instructor. I'd like to set up my classes at the Playa Flamenca beach, but I don't know who do I have to speak about it? Do I need any licence or speak with someone?? 

Any advice would be much appreciated 😊🙏

Santa pola half on 22nd Jan look it up on rock the sport.com,torrievja half in Feb 26th you can look up races on chiplevante ,com ,usually a race at guardamar in March, did that one last year ,and just done alicante to santa pola half which was great,hope you find something you like ,you can do long training runs down the canals here happy running Ray

Sorry don't know one of hand,torrievja has a running club,and santa pola but not much inland,you can ask in local Facebook groups who like to run and you might find a few like yourself ,look on Strava if people run near you,lots of 10k and half marathon near you ,santa pola half this weekend torrievja half in Feb, benidorm half in Nov  Ray
