Hi.I need to go to the doctors at Cabo Roig and was wondering if i need to pay or can i use my EHIC.card. Also would i need an appointment. Thank you in advance.

It all depends on the individual medical centre, but an EHIC (with passport) should only be used for emergency treatment.
You'll certainly need an appointment if it's not an emergency but, if you're prepared to wait, they might fit you in after everyone else has been attended to.

An EHIC can be used for any treatment which becomes necessary during your stay in an EU country.

I just took my son to the doctors medical centre along Cabo Roig and I saw a doctor within 10 minutes! All you need is your EHIC card and passport. I then collected the medicine from the pharmacy and it only cost 3 euros! I was very impressed with their service

Hi the E111 form covers it all like a gp appointment. I have been over the years lots and even in hospital with my son at 6weeks old - he is now 11!
It's very straight forward - you get given a day or time to come back or most times wait.
Be advised if it is ravage etc you can go straight to the chemists and buy antibiotics - same for other things without a prescription.
If you do not have the e111 card it is 100pounds which you can claim back
