Can anybody recommend an authentic, off the beaten track, popular with locals, genuine tapas restaraunt within a radius of 20km of Playa Flamenca?
We have visited many in the popular touristy areas but would love to eat at one that lies out of the way and is not geared up for tourists?

There are a few in San Miguel de Salinas by the church and Tabac in the pedistrianised bit

You could try los carmalos near la marina. If you come off n332 heading la marina its past the la marina camping resort. Not sure if that's too far but very Spanish and many locals use it. Very nice tapas. Place is nothing fancy but food good.Has funny hours so check before you go.

Don Bigastro at the top end of Cabo Roig.
Rincon de Paco, San Miguel de Salinas.
Restaurante Fortaleza , Vistabella ; on the RH side CV95 heading into Orihuela
Two bars in Torremendo, forget their names!!
There are loads of them, once you leave the coast!!
