Hi all, You are blessed DL, I had booked a 4 day business visit to Santa Pola for sole purpose of paying some taxes at the bank.15-19 March.

Day after booking was advised by RYR to rebook with no extra charge for changing.

Spent several days trying to, without any response whatsoever.Kept trying till departure date, then return date, still dead in the water, no response to all available contact methods.

So we lost £386, and now are trying to persuade our credit card provider to do a charge back on RYR.

Wonder what I did to deserve this Mr O'Leary?

Regards

Ray

Hi

I have contacted Ryanair through there chat box I had to type in my booking reference . I just typed in want to speak to a customer care agent and had to wait 10 min and they asked if I wanted to change my flight I told them that I wanted a refund as the flights are cancelled. Did you try this ?

Regards Lorraine

Thnx Lorraine for your quick reply, just wish RYR could be as fast.

Yes'm did try all of the contact routes shown on the RYR website, didn't get any response from the ones that appeared to accept my request for contact, but some, including the Chatbot and "0ne of our helpful, phone agents will get back to you" have not had any response, nearly two weeks after the event.

Glad to hear that some people at least have been lucky.

Regards

Ray

The time frame for my refund is 28 days so fingers crossed.

I hope you get it sorted with your credit card company.

On a general point with Ryanair at what point do they cancel a flight and refund your money. I've been offered a fee free change for a flight in April but don't wish to rebook at this time would rather have money back?

Thanks

You have to wait until they cancel the flight and then you can get a full refund rather than rebook. Wait for an official email and then a straightforward form. Waiting for ours from April but have flights for end of May and August. Missing our Santa Pola home.

Had flights cancelled by Ryanair weeks ago now.Managed to complete the online refund form. All well and good but no refund has appeared up until now 30/3.

Email from em over the weekend acknowledging refund request but stating theirs a BACKLOG! Methinks they want to hold onto your money folks for as long as possible.

Now also buggering about with flights I’d booked for late June yonks ago. Think their changing their schedules for financial reasons but hey ho?

Hi all,

Join the club mm1,

Had to.opt out of RYR flights in March cos Spain went into lockdown , but unable to access the free flighr changes on website. Strangely enough managed to get online reply last week telling me that there were no refunds which wasn't what I was asking for anyway!,  cos flights hadn't been cancelled by RYR.   So fighting for the flight changes I couldn't get earlier because their website was overloaded when I needed it.

Also spotted that flights for autumn, when the virus threat might, possibly be in the past, are grossly higher than ever before. So,we will pay for their loss of revenue just now.

by the way the other main operators have "revised" their autumn flight prices also.

We are missing our SP bolt hole too, muchisimo!

Blessings to,all on the forum.

Ray & Frances

I was in Spain from 11th March and due to return to UK on 29th. As flights were running out i got fed up waiting for cancellation and booked new flights 10 times more expensive than original ones. After I was home Ryanair sent cancellation notification but by then first flight home was May so glad I had got home  dont see any way of me being reimbursed sadly.  Good everyone wi th what you are pursuing.

We were due to fly to Spain 6th April and we changed the outbound flights to August.

Just had an email stating return flights now cancelled April 16th and we have been given a refund , no hastle just completed the online form.
