In our case the government grounded all flights to italy , when they say "advised" there are officially flights still available so that gives Ryanair wriggle to room to say we are still flying there so we wont offer a refund, they will get out of it if they can, on another post someone tried to rebook flights for another time and Ryanair have doubled the price!!!

Ryanair prices from Denmark haven't risen, fallen around 10-17% within the last 10 days. They offer free change of booking or money refund. Visitors we were expecting next week received their refund within 5 days.

Just changed ours with Ryanair, now planning on coming 14th. April. But I believe the lock down will last a lot longer.

I was supposed to fly from Spain to the uk on the 4th April. And also been told to change the flight but they have told me do not book for April.

Thank lorraine

I had my 15th March flight (Stansted to Alicante) cancelled by Jet2.

On their cancellation e-mail they say that “refunds will be proceed in due course “.

Has anyone any idea how long they take to do so?

On a general point with Ryanair at what point do they cancel a flight and refund your money. I've been offered a fee free change for a flight in April but don't wish to rebook at this time would rather have money back?

Thanks

We were flying back to Uk with Ryanair on 2/4 but received an email 2 days ago (Friday) saying the flight was cancelled and offering a free rebooking or refund within about a week. We opted for the refund as we’ll wait to return until it seems ‘safer’ whenever  that might be!?

Hi there, we were due to come out to Spain in April with Ryanair...the departure flight from UK has now been officially cancelled and I've applied for a refund. My worry is the return flight from Murcia doesn't show as cancelled which is odd?! Worried that Ryanair won't refund the return flight( don't trust them tbh) Anyone else had the same situation? Many thanks. Donna

Just a word of caution. We have recently been advised by our travel insurer that any travel booked prior to 20th March cancelled due to Covid-19 will be covered, but any travel booked after that date will not as Covid-19 is no longer regarded as an unexpected event. Please check your travel insurance before transferring flights as you may not be able to recover the costs if they are cancelled.

Hi all, You are blessed DL, I had booked a 4 day business visit to Santa Pola for sole purpose of paying some taxes at the bank.15-19 March.

Day after booking was advised by RYR to rebook with no extra charge for changing.

Spent several days trying to, without any response whatsoever.Kept trying till departure date, then return date, still dead in the water, no response to all available contact methods.

So we lost £386, and now are trying to persuade our credit card provider to do a charge back on RYR.

Wonder what I did to deserve this Mr O'Leary?

Regards

Ray
