Building materials - Page 2
Plenty of renovation projects in Sax! Lots of bank owned apartments and town houses very cheap or some good sized Campo properties that need work at bargain prices!
That's great news. My budget is limited but I have a great knowledge of house renovation

Bear in mind that for almost anything you wish to do to your own property in Spain, you will need a licence from the local Ayuntamiento; the cost of which is based upon the value of the work and the cost of materials. And for anything more than interior replacement of sanaitary ware, kitchen fittings etc you may well be required to produce architects drwga - even for moving a non-structural wall. Also, if a ‘campo’ property, there are usually restrictions on what you may do with it, especially if it is on ‘rustic’ land.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a property in Sax and would like to know what it is like to have building materials delivered
We live on the Campo and have found Bernagres at the top of the town reliable and good value for actual building materials. Delivery has also been reliable third party supplier but as we live in campo we have usually led the lorry to delivery point.
For B&Q equivalent there is Brico Depot at Crevillente but there is also Brico Rama in Petrer but tend to use the local Bernagres supplier for likes of swimming pool tiles, roof tiles, bricks and general like
Also Maria in the office manages to converse in limited English which is a lot better than our more limited Spanish (at the moment)
