We mustn't forget though that the virus hasn't suddenly disappeared.....

I will be wearing my mask, as are many other people, at all times for the foreseeable future.

So what about airports, no masks either??

Airports are classed as public transport , therefore mask required

Quote below taken from the Alicante airport website:

Covid-19 rules to be followed at all times

  • As of 20/04/2022, the wearing of a face mask is no longer mandatory at Alicante Airport.
  • Maintain a distance of 1.5 meters.
  • Wash your hands at regular intervals for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or, when not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer solutions.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue or into your flexed elbow when sneezing or coughing.
  • For your own protection, please ensure that you minimise contact with any surfaces whilst at the airport or on the plane, at car hire desks or on public transport such as buses or taxis.

Not sure why Alicante Airport think people can stay 1.5m apart when they are queuing to get through passport control or onto a plane - impossible.  So would that mean masks as you can't distance?

I think mask wearing during flights depends who you are travelling with and to where you are travelling, the requirement seems to be getting dropped by several airlines now.
