Yes its true... delays at Passport Control especially.
Be aware. Do not spend most of time far away from Passport Control / Boarding Gate.

Yes you only need your COVID vaccine cert to enter Spain.

We arrived yesterday, 3 may, not the least sign of any queues neither in Liverpool Airport nor in Alicante. Problem is hyped up I think.

Reply back here when you LEAVE Alicante Airport or any other EU airport.
Arriving is NOT where the queues are for passport control.

We came back through Alicante last Saturday evening and the biggest queue was at Ryanair check in which took about 20 minutes. Other than that it was just the usual situation with a slight delay at the automated passport gates prior to getting the passports stamped

We landed at Alicante last night. The whole plane went through the same security took us about 5 minutes.
You can add another hour to that when we last went through Luton!
