It's a while ago that you quoted the price of a one-way crossing. We had our sailings canceled in 2020 but booked again for this year 2021 the price was £847 for both ways, then it was canceled again and they wanted to charge an extra £147.25 I rang them and asked that they cancel the extra pay...

...ment as they had already canceled my trip twice. The young lady who was dealing with my complaint immediately dropped the extra charge. In my opinion, it was the right thing to do.

I was waiting 45 minutes for them to answer the phone but I recon that it was worth it. It's always worth being nice and asking the question.

You bet it was the right thing to do ,as you rightly pointed out you had crossings cancelled and why should you pay extra cost ,it doesn't matter which way you look at things ,companies have hiked prices and Joe public has to fork out ,am glad you had savvy to challenge and in your case you have benefited ,well done

I just hope that before we go back to England in September that Boris decides that the covid tests are deemed necessary. I doubt it but I live in hope.

Do you not mean "unnecessary"?

We are going August and hope by November there will be no tests or quarantine, but don't mind the quarantine.

Yes Pauline I agree with you ,regards tests ,it does put more pressure on travellers ,and to think we used to worry if our luggage was overweight, it's a whole hotch  potch of unnecessary and costly measures, rules keep changing ,I was expecting after June 21 supposed to be back to normal ,please someone tell me when normality will be reached
