Hi.
I’m looking in to move to Villena but would like to know more about the town before I decide. Is there any expat community? I like Spanish but it would be nice if I was not alone. :)
Please tell me why I should move to a Villena?

Hi, We live in El Morron and there are a few British who live in this small area. We bought this property in May last year but were coming here before that for hols. The town has everything you need. It depends if you want to live in town or just outside. Dee

I fully agree with fitdeeo. Perhaps before buyig something, rent a home for the winter months and look around the whole area. I live in Fortuna near Murcia and enjoy a nice international expat community.

Hi I live in Villena, are you actually going to live in Villena or Las Virtudes, if the later then it has a fairly large ish expat community. Villena is a large working Town, with everything available, no need to keep going to the Coast, for tools, paint, furniture, clothes, shoes, Doctors, plumbers, hairdressers Dentist etc etc. Just ask in here, where to get the best price or which one speaks some English. Good luck with your move 😎

Thanks Anne. I’m looking at a house close a national park, Pinada Galbis I think, so on the outskirt of Villena. Would that be walking distance to shops, restaurants and so on?

Hi we have a few shops in Villena selling beds. First is a very big furniture shop called Alfonso Ballester and one on the main high street opposite the Hotel Salvadora and one or two in the side streets. As for pool maintenance, that I’m not sure, we look after our own. My Husband could always give you tips and some help to get you started. Hope you get success with the beds 😎
