The Spanish Consulate in England granted us a NLV in September. We just had to get an appointment at Benidorm police station to take our fingerprints to complete the process. We are unable to get an appointment. Has anyone managed to get one? If so how did you do it?  Is anyone in the same position as ourselves. Also, although our S1 has been pre-registered as part of our original application we are unable to get it fully registered until we get the TIE. This has meant that we are unable to access social services and other health services fully which has been a problem as my partner had an operation for a brain tumour in December and is now unable to walk. If anyone has any information or suggestions as to how we may resolve any of these problems we would really appreciate your support. Thank you.

Bought our  home 12 months ago used Colas ABOGADOS in albir to do all the work, deeds etc. All went through  and during due diligence they emailed  confirming  no debts or mortgages  were on the property. 

Today , 11 months later,  got a bill citing the previous  owner ( who sadly had passed and we bought from her children)  as the debtor  and my wife as the guarantor!

Apparently this is legal practice for Suma to use tacit mortgage to claim previous debts from new owners but surely Colas the ABOGADOS would and should  have spotted this bill was unpaid  ( around  €500, but might be the first but not  the last).

Any thoughts? I have just emailed  the solicitors but unsure what to do next.

Shocked and gutted doesn't  cover  it!!

We are waiting on the registration of a document in land registry in order that we progress to the purchase of our new holiday home outside La Nucia...we are waiting now over 7 weeks!

Is that the norm? Very slow civil service in the Costa Blanca??

 have been reading up on this  as solicitors are dragging their feet in Albir ( it appears not many bother as non residents who sell are probably gone back to blighty and forgotten about ) .

I understand how its worked out purchase price and costs added  , sale price and costs added if xxx small profit you can claim back.

3 questions for the knowledgable here!

1.   When adding the total sales costs up can you add the 10% sales tax to the total sale outlay costs? 

2. prior to sale we lived here 2 years NIE ect , becoming full tax residents 3 weeks after the sale yet sale went through as non residents         hence we paid the 3% tax.

when reading up it says anyone livng here full time ,living in their only home is classed as a resident not non resident ,even if not full tax residents as yet?

3. one solicitor  online stated exemptions from paying 3% tax include Job move or health related issues ( *the latter as we moved from a 3rd   floor apartment,top of a hill  to a single floor bungalow due to spinal mobility issues,stairs etc ) . how would we approach this?

Is there any golf booking agency that offer collective deals on golf course bookings.  I would like to invite a few friends over for a few days and to play golf locally...perhaps if any agency would provide say 3 tee times over a few days at a reduced rate for say 4 or more players, that would be great.

Would love to source a nice 2nd hand Skoda Octavia for use while in La Nucia...very reliable vehicle, well regardedin Irelandand UK, good boot room (for golf clubs, takes 4), this type, model etc seem very scarce among 2nd hand dealers in the La Nucia, L'Albir area...any recommendations?
