Moving to Pinosa - 6 replies

Dano Posted by Dano in General Pinoso / El Pinós discussion on Sun Jan 21, 2024 5:06pm

Hi. I think Pinoso is the town I want to buy a house and make the transition from UK. Can expat Brits offer me a general idea of what the town is like to live in full time? Crime in Pinosa? Is a car essential if living in the centro area?

How many days a year can I be there with a UK passport and can I transition into citizenship easily after property purchase?

Looking for 3+bed town house with minimal renovation with garden. €100k budget.

Thanks all

Dan

Water Cut off in 2023 - 3 replies

JBB Posted by JBB in Utilities: Electric, gas and water recommendations and advice in Pinoso / El Pinós on Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:47pm

We live close to Canada del Trigo and we have almost no water. It is cut off by 10am everyday and comes back by 2-3 after midnight.

The issue started in summer. We were told that farmers used up all water for watering. But before we went abroad in September we saw workers putting a new water pipe along the road. So we expected the problem solved. Nay! Now we've come back to Spain and it's even worse. They cut off water even on Sunday! I don't believe farmers using water for watering now in December when it drizzles sometimes.

I have no English-speaking neighbours. Does anybody experience the same? Can you offer a piece of advice?

Will we enjoy Christmas without water?   :-(

Bike rental in Pinoso - 0 replies

Sarita Posted by Sarita in General Pinoso / El Pinós discussion on Mon Nov 13, 2023 10:23pm

Hi there!

We will be visiting some friends in Pinoso next month (December) and my husband would love to rent a mountain bike as we know there are great trails in Pinoso. Thinking in bringing the bike and all with ryanair but seems too much hassle just for a couple of days as we have a baby too.  Is it possible to rent a mountain bike there or near by? He isn't a begginer so needs to be a good bike.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

Hi All

I am suffering from a chronic mental illness that has rendered me unable to work. I am on a reduced pension of 250 euros a month.

Am I entitled, as an Irish EU citizen to financial support from the Spanish Authorities? If so how do I go about it and how much would I be entitled to?

Many thanks,

Patrick
