As it would appear that many are still unclear in their minds about what the current restrictions permit here is a brief summary:

1. The acquisition of foods, pharmaceuticals and essential items.

2. Access to healthcare centers.

3. Journeys to workplaces or to carry out labor, professional or company duties

4. Return journeys to habitual residences.

5. Assistance for and care of seniors, minors, dependents, the disabled or especially vulnerable people.

6. Journeys to financial institutions.

7. For reasons of force majeure or situations of necessity.

8. Any other activity that is justifiably necessary.

NB: Although not stated specifically, and for the ever present minority who choose to interpret rules in ways which suit their personal wishes, the carrying out of permitted activities should be on an individual basis and only performed by two or more where justifiably necessary

It's really very simple, since the object of the exercise is to curtail the spreading of the virus by, as far as practicably possible, limiting contact with other people and by definition that means as few people out and about in public as possible and for as short a time as possible.

If you keep that at the forefront of your mind you won't go far wrong.

An important addition to Movingon's excellent summary. Regarding point 2: if you have appointments at medical facilities, it is fine to attend them.

However, if you believe you have Corona Virus symptoms, you must NOT go to hospital or other health facilities.  Each autonomous region has launched a dedicated helpline, as the 112 emergency number has been overwhelmed.  Instead, people in the Comunidad Valencia region, who are concerned they may have contracted Corona Virus, should call 900 300 555.

Best wishes everyone,

Kim

So if we're running low on food, one of us can go to Mercadona but not both of us?

I haven't read anything, Buzzby27, to the contrary and our rubbish collection is still happening every evening.

Kind regards,

Kim

Correct. It’s not necessary for you to both go, unless  the other person is too ill to be left alone.
