Hearing lots of different stories as to the cost of exchanging a licence using one of the multitude of 'one stop shops' so wondering what folk have actually paid.

One outfit in Catral are quoting €130.

Hubby and I paid €120 each.  We used Matt at One Way Services in Ciudad Quesada last year.  He made the appointment for us online; on the day, we met at his offices, then he drove us in his car to Cartagena. He took us to the medical centre first where, having no pre-existing conditions, it consisted of an eye test, followed by a computer-based co-ordination test.  From there we went to the Guardia's office, where our forms were processed and we left with temporary, paper licences.  Five weeks later, our photo ID driving licences arrived in the post.

Jim Taylor has done a self-help guide, which describes a less expensive way of doing this yourself, but we got everything done in half a day, so thought that what we paid was good value.

Kind regards,

Kim

If you still have a paper licence like i had be prepared to do a lot of explaining.  I'm guessing that some of the new recruits have not seen one before.
