Arguably parliamentarians had an opportunity to shape the WA agreement prior to the election. They decided instead to block any Brexit and, intentionally or not, force an election.
We had an election and the balance of power shifted.
You would hope that those UK citizens residing in EU countries would now seek to be represented by an objective moderate lobby to try and influence negotiations and outcomes.
It's pretty clear that millions of migrants will remain in the UK and in countries like Spain and France after Brexit - so let's lobby for the best conditions whilst accepting that Brexit will happen.
We hope to be in Spain later this year :)

British Citizens are not permitted by the UK goverment to influence things, so why would you expect to have a say in Spain. The EU are far more open than Westminster. Once you are a resident you can vote like everybody else.
