Having lost my own Mum recently Alex I am full of admiration that you feel able to carry on with what is a real legacy for her. The whole tone of the website shows the type of person she was and it has been a pleasure to have been part of it knowing that any unkind behaviour is stopped quickly - whether by Jan as an administrator or by other members.

Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

So sorry to hear your news. This forum has been invaluable to me and by far the best source of help and information to people moving to Spain. It's an amazing legacy and thank you so much for continuing it. All the best to you and your family at this difficult time.

So sorry Alex and your family for your loss. Your Mum was an exceptional lady who you must be so proud of, who generously gave her time to helping others. We will continue her dream of running the best information forum with respect and empathy to each other. She has left you a priceless legacy.

Sincere condolances

Pauline.

I haven’t been on this forum for very long but after going on others I can certainly say that this is without a doubt the best managed forum around. I have had so much help from its users/members and am grateful to Jan for the assistance received.

Sad news indeed xx

Sincere condolences at this sad time. The development of this and other sites has helped so many and brought together so many that would never have met. A truly great achievement of which yourself and all of Jan’s family and friends must be very proud.

Sorry to hear your sad news. Alex. This website is managed so well, and I hope your mother realised how much it was appreciated. Thank you for letting us know of your loss, and an even bigger thanks for continuing with the forum. The help and advice is invaluable. I wish you and your family all the very best.

Hi Alex

Very sorry to hear this, and my thoughts go out to you and the rest of Jan's family and friends.

Like Jan and many others, we've taken the leap and bought a place in Spain in the last few years and frankly it's a daunting task to sort the wheat from the chaff when getting advice about things in a foreign country. I've regularly used this forum to post questions (some daft, some not), and the good people who use the site will generally come back with a good response. So, many thanks to your mum for this, and may she now rest in peace.

regards

Brian
