Yes, schools and supermarkets that are still open would be where there is a risk of catching infection, add to that list hospitals. But I would see them as essentials whereas the hospitality sector is not essential. Likewise retail shops, gyms, indoor&outdoor* sports, etc they are nice to have but we can live without for a while. I will miss golf, going to the pub and the occasionally meal out but it reduces the risk of catching covid so it's something I can live with.

*though if your in Scotland you can still play golf, albeit with some restricitions

My point again is hospitality closed cannot be spreader ,schools and supermarkets open virus still escalating possible spreaders ,although hospitals are treating covid patients, I would imagine well out of public domain ,none of 4 nation governments have ever mentioned in what sector they thought the virus was spreading from ,which I think is disappointing also just to say that government is finally to bring in negative tests needed to fly to UK ,they say better late than never

I have not seen any detailed breakdown of where the infections come from, not sure how they could tell. There are stats on healthcare associated infections, those infections acquired in hospital, they seem to vary a lot and have increased significantly recently, probably due to the new infectious strain rampant at the moment. That is quite a concern and probably explains why they are trying to put people off hospital stays.

Thanks for that link which I've read ,its apparent that many people were infected in hospitals where they should have been safe ,I sincerely hope that the hospitals have identified the problems and found solutions ,coming to track and trace I feel the system should have been handled at local level where I think more people would have bought into it as opposed to private enterprise who had no experience of local areas until this is remedied I can only see lengthier lockdown and more reliance on the vaccination programme ,have already heard on news programme this evening talking of lesser restrictions being in place next winter hardly a vote of confidence
