We both will be working, my husband is a qualified chef, has a safe pass, a grounds keeper and his security pads, I have a business degree, pharmacy technician and currently a grocery manager, but I’m the middle of doing a tefl teaching course. We both have eu passports, and know we have to get...

... residency before 90days. We rent in ireland so no sales required and we will be renting coming over also.
the reason I’m asking about schools is because it’s my only concern about moving to Spain that my children will struggle getting an education as no Spanish backround. The rest we can work easily

Well done. You seem to have everything sorted.  Good luck.

Stick them in state school like everyone else, trust me within 3months they will be fluent, someone did mention Valencian and that never occurred to me but tbh it shouldn't be an issue because outside of the classroom they all speak Spanish

They all do at first when they don't understand a language its normal for everyone but it's what most people do who can't afford private school and theres no problem, its picked up extremely quickly

maybe a spanish tutor for the older children there where you live and then an extended holiday to see if they really do pick it up quickly.

It took my daughter over a year to get good at Spanish. 3 months may be enough for everyday but it is not enough for them to keep up with the others at school.
And depending on the school, more or less subjects are taught in Valenciano and are also necessary for progress.
And a course like "philosophy" in Vanlenciano is very, very hard....
That forced my daughter to change to another school....
Please do not underestimate these requirements! It is not about you but about the future of your children.

If your daughter learned Spanish quickly then what I said is true, also it depends on age if you go to school for one year before you're due to finish its obviously going to be harder, the education system in Spain is in general quite hard because it's better than the UK so not all children can keep up but the language they usually pick up extremely quickly. And if they learn Valencian its a bonus for them incase they want to go into a profession that requires it. But Shannon wants to consider further South where its Spanish only in schools she may consider it, if not she doesn't really have a choice because she's already said that private school is out of the question.
