If your daughter learned Spanish quickly then what I said is true, also it depends on age if you go to school for one year before you're due to finish its obviously going to be harder, the education system in Spain is in general quite hard because it's better than the UK so not all children can k...

...eep up but the language they usually pick up extremely quickly. And if they learn Valencian its a bonus for them incase they want to go into a profession that requires it. But Shannon wants to consider further South where its Spanish only in schools she may consider it, if not she doesn't really have a choice because she's already said that private school is out of the question.

I’m after organising Spanish lessons for the three children starting at the end of this month and they will be once a week for a year so I’m hoping this will help. Is Valencia’s thought in all schools or certain areas only?

The three Valencian Commuidads its only taught in Valencian but the main language spoken between classes is spanish both my kids go to state school and they have learned both languages, my daughter speaks four in total and she's only 4. So don't be scared by that because most people weather they do good at school usually do ok for themselves over here, most of life is experience school just gives you the basic tools that most of us never use in our daily lives. Just throw them in at the deep end, the youngest will defo not have a single issue with picking them up because here there are so many kids from different nationalities in school so they're all in the same boat. Just come enjoy the sun, lifestyle, freedom, lower bills, lower cost of living, no tv license, no hosepipe bans in summer....you can see a doctor within moments aswel because the medical system is better....relax 😃😃😃😃

Nowt wrong with Ireland, my sister in law and her husband moved there from Italy after living in Spain and its the first time in their lives that they actually have money and a very comfortable life. More people move there and anywhere in Europe atm. But I unfortunately have never been....yet. Spain's a good life and I have a good life here (at the minute) and really have no intention of leaving but make no mistake, it isn't easy don't believe the tv shows like a place in the sun you have to work hard and really get to know how to manage your money because there is no government help like the UK has, some people even work multiple jobs

They love it. During covid they got 350euros a week each to not work and their rent was like 500euro. They live in a village though and have to drive everywhere, I know the cities are very different though. My Hungarian mate just moved their aswel, well northern Ireland but she's Catholic so same place to her, anyways he loves it, alot more than Spain. And now because of Brexit lots English people are going there so they can live better and get an Irish passport.

Martyn is right.  Spain is almost as dear as Ireland. Bring your car to the garage for a service its the same. Tyres, NCT, MOT, ITV  same price. Petrol is about the same. Booze and cigarettes are cheaper. Lidl shopping is about the same.  I don't think wages in Spain are great.   But ask the handiman to do a job for you.  He knows how to charge and a lot of them are not qualified. Lots of chancers and cowboys in Spain. A place in the sun doesn't mention  community charges, non resident tax, insurance.

Haha never seen it. The covid payment they received have to be paid back now through tax to everyone that got it. I’m not in a city and my rent is 750euro, travelling to work every week is 100 minimum for diesel, and my food shop is a minimum 200euro every week, that’s not including your tv, electricity, school bus all that it’s mental money. I got to work now and it’s dark and I come home and it’s dark.
it just seems like such a better life in Spain for us personally. Ya my in laws moved here 8years ago. Living in one the cheapest spots in ireland and they couldn’t hack it moving to Spain for 2months in November then over to Portugal to buy something. So at least we will have family somewhat close when we do get over aswell.

It can’t be much worse than here. Diesel at the minute is 205.99. I’m spending 100euro a week on diesel, 200euro on shopping not including your bits you need throughout it, coal cause it’s bloody freezing is 83euro for 2 bags every week in the winter along with heating oil, rent 750 and that’s cheap. It’s only going to get worse here
