Thanks.... however there is no need for the sarky comment and refer you back to the original topic.

Whether it bothers me or not is not your concern.

You just rub people up the wrong way.

No. I just seem to have rubbed you and the other person the wrong way. I am just saying , as I always have, that I am happy to help people without seeking thanks. Simple

Stan, come on. If someone annoys you, just ignore them. It’s a forum, they’re not your friends, it doesn’t matter that much 🤪🥂

Yes, don't leave Stan Though I do understand your irritation, just  ignore & scroll past, I know I do

Sorry cp, it states who has found your post helpful. That doesn’t necessarily mean they liked it 🤪🥂

I’m afraid I don’t really understand your response. I think if someone finds a post “ helpful”’ it generally indicates a positive response?

But I’m not really concerned.  My point , as ever,  is I respond to help and pass on knowledge, not to seek public thanks.

If you don’t agree please just pass on by ....

You can understand it sometimes though.

Anyway still can't find the bloody thing on my tablet but never mind. I don't see any symbols like a bell or lampshade.

That "cp" needs to apologise really. I actually wrote something and decided against it after taking two minutes as a breather!

My understanding is that, by pressing the “helpful” button, it states just that; the person responding has found the information you have given, helpful. It’s not, I don’t believe, about thanks, tho I do think that good manners might dictate, if the responder has gone to some degree of trouble to answer the post, thanks might be appropriate.

My opinion only🤪🥂

The bell is at the top of the forum page between the envelope for private messages and the magnifying glass for the search function.

With posts like yours, cannot you understand why you rub people up the wrong way?

Very bad manners indeed.

That  “ cp” needs to apologise for what?  I simply said I don’t seek thanks for trying to post helpful information.  And I said I expected to be lamblasted for saying so as I have in the past  .

Take a deep breath , stand back,  and think whether I really need to apologise?

Thanks John I've found it.

I have to laugh because it was because my tablet was on landscape mode and it doesn't show that way.

Thanks again.........learn something new everyday!
