From where are you relocating? Plenty of mobile/static homes for sale or rent in the Benidorm area from 50 to 100k depending on area and size.
The problems don't come with buying one but getting their in the first place can be traumatic.
There are plenty of posts on this site detailing the requirements if you are coming from a non EU country (including UK) or an EU country (including both Irelands).
If moving permanently, the mobile home types have a reputation for being extremely cold in the Winter and extremely hot in the Summer, especially as some sites now don't allow aircon or patio areas.
But plenty of people do live on these sites and reckon the community spirit is the big draw.

Hi,
If you are UK passport holders:....
To relocate from Yorkshire to live in Benidorm permanently will require some sort of visa.
If you want to retire here in Benidorm you will need a non lucrative visa and have to prove an income of around 34,000 euros and full healthcare.
If you want to live permanently and work in Benidorm you will need to obtain a work visa.
You can't just move to Spain without some sort of visa.
As stated many caravan sites have a good reputation for socialising but you could also loose much of your privacy.

Then it will be pointed out you can only stay a maximum of 90 days in any 180 days twice a year. To move permanently, you will require a visa to enter Spain and apply for residency. If you exceed the 90 days you could be fined or barred from entering Spain for several years.
To obtain a visa you have to apply at a Spanish consulate in your own country as a non EU citizen.
To get this, you need to show an annual income of 28,800 euro per year for the first applicant and 7200 euro for the second and show this each year for the first 5 years.
You need many other things such as full medical insurance with no copayments, a police criminal check and doctor's certificate showing you have no communicable diseases and both officially translated to Spanish. There are other things that are necessary and they've all been explained on this site many times.
There is way around it if you have Irish ancestors back to grandparents and apply for an Irish passport which means you don't need a visa.
There are many visas available depending on if you are working or not. A non lucrative visa means you show the requirements and can move over but not take up employment.
A work visa needs a firm job offer with a guaranteed contract and the offer signed by the foreign office in Spain. An employer must show no EU worker could carry out the job.
You also mention your partner. Only a married spouse or recognised civil partnership (same sex is allowed) will enable you to take out joint residency and that must be officially translated to Spanish as well.
Apart from this site, there are many sites which explain about the visas and how to obtain them.
Best of luck as it really is worth it in the end but it is very difficult now for a non EU citizen to move over. Even if you get a visa, you will have 3 months and 15 days to come to Spain and apply for residency in the province you are going to live in and applications can also be rejected at that point.

I’ve thought about buying a static caravan myself although the initial outlay is low compared to buying a property remember if your paying average of €5000 per year site fees after ten years you will have paid €50,000 plus your caravan would have depreciated over time as well, lots of people do buy caravans as it’s popular but it’s personal choice really and worth thinking about, either way your be in Spain and enjoying a much better healthier lifestyle :)
Regarding your health care
If you only staying in Benidorm for the 90 day period as a ‘visitor’ you still get free health cover with your GHIC/NHIC card just like if you were on holiday. If your retiring to Spain something I’m looking to do and have researched heavily go onto the UK . Gov websites (as the UK and Spanish governments have an agreement for retirees) to get any official info I quote “If you are a permanent resident in Spain
