Good morning everyone,

As there have been lots of discussions on the wearing of facemasks, I am wondering what the position is on wearing gloves in shops, cafes and bars, etc and whether this is a requirement.

Here in the UK the majority of people are wearing gloves and hopefully when our flight eventually gets back on track whether I should bring a stock of gloves out with me.

Hand sanitizers are available in all the supermarkets but still gloves are being worn.

I would appreciate your comments and views please.

You are required to wear gloves and face masks in all the supermarkets here in Benidorm and sanitize the gloves before you enter the main area. It's not necessary to wear gloves in restaurants and bars.

Where are all the camper vans appearing from ? We are not allowed to cross Provences so where have they all appearedcfrom and where are they going and wonder ifvthevpolicexare checking ? (gran Alacant)

Having your own gloves may not do you much good at the supermarkets as every one I've been to has insisted that you put on their crappy things which half the time are too small for many mens hands and end up torn apart before you can get them even half way on, turning up with your own gloves on doesn't stop them insisting you put theirs over the top - and then they go and squirt hand gel over them despite them having come straight out of their box!

One day last week my local Hiperber ran out of gloves so instead hung up a load or A4 size plassie bags normally used for putting your veg in, ironically I found them better in use than the gloves they normally have.

Gloves are counterproductive and NOT recommended by the WHO. I refuse to wear them, and if obliged, they will magically be torn within the first minute of wearing them. Such absolute bull.
