Good Afternoon all.

I wonder if anyone can help as I seem to hit a brick wall when asking the questions the the relevant people in Madrid.

I am going to Madrid on the 27th and booking parking but were I need to be is a low zone omission area and it tells me on the website I need a label on the car to access it. It tells me that I dont need a label to access and then it tells me that I do.

Anyone know the answer !!!!

Thanks Graham

I suggest that you buy an Eco sticker from your local Correos office for just 5 euros.   Have a look at the N332 website regarding this.   The site, and their Facebook page, is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and deals with anything to do with driving in Spain.

Better think twice, driving in Madcrid can easily become a nightmare especially during rush hours. Parking possibilities are scarce and expensive. I travel to Madrid every 6-8 weeks, leave the car here https://hotelplazalasmatas.com/ and use the train stopping only a few steps away and getting you fast and cheap wherever you want.  1 and 3 day passes for ujnlimited travel on trains, buses, underground, trams are available.

Whereabouts are you staying in Madrid and for how long? If only for a day or two you can book one of many underground carparks inside the low omission zones which do a special 1 day or 2 day tariff and works out a lot cheaper than just leaving it there and paying by the hourly rate which increases the longer it's left. The one I use in central Madrid is run by Interparking (www.interparking.es) and if you download their App you can prebook the cheaper tariffs. If you are staying in Madrid for a week or more then I would suggest to park to the east of the city just outside the M30 ring road where there's free on-street parking signified by dotted white lines. The public transport system is very good and you can get an Oyster card which gives you 10 trips by bus or metro for 8.50€ which is so handy!
