Hello reader,

I’m trying to make a vita Previn with the National police in Denia. Based on the instructions I should have the option Cambio de domicilio. I double checked with my old city, and for that office is does exist. But for Denia, and surrounding places (even Alicante) the option does not exist. My question is, does anybody know what option I should select?
I checked all the options, and none of them asks for the maximum 3 months old enpadramiento document.

thank you.

Hello,

If you want to change the address in the TIE or Residency green card in Alicante province, the process and the appointment are the same as getting the first card. It means if it is for TIE (cita huella) if it is for the green card  (Certificado EU)

Even the documents you need to bring, are almost the same as the first card (unless you have permanent residency).

If you need help with the appointment, please let me know. [email protected]

Hello Yaneisis, thank you for your reply. I have à Nie, and not a tie.I will call the police and ask them myself.
Thank you.

Unlike the TIE and green residencia , the A4 sheet of paper issued as an NIE does not have an address printed on on it.

When I changed address I was advised that it was not necessary to make the change on the residency card (green). If you have any interactions with government departments or agencies, for example, health centre, tax etc., and you provide them with your new address this will automatically update your records throughout the public services.

Hi Marjolijn,

You don't need to change your NIE registration.  All you have to do is deregister from the Padrón at the Town Hall where you used to live and then register on the Padrón at the Town Hall where you now live.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Yannelsis,

Whilst some of us are aware that Spanish people often call their identity cards the "NIE", it's important to foreigners to make the distinction between the NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero, or unique tax registration number) and the TIE (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero, or foreigner ID card).  The membership of this forum is primarily British and other foreign nationals, and those of us who are Spanish residents will have both the NIE and the TIE; however, non-resident foreigners who own property in Spain will have an NIE, but not a TIE.

Kind regards,

Kim

My NIE A4 piece of paper that was issued in 2006, has my name and address on it.

Anne
