Hi can anyone tell me if I can rent a car park space in the actual terminal building car park for long term stays? We have a property near Alcoy and can never get a taxi to take us there when we visit from UK it's too far and too expensive. We have our own car so would make more sense to actually park at the airport but do not really want to use a shuttle service. Thank you 😊

You could try this company if you don’t want a shuttle bus. They leave your car in the airport car park for you to collect on your arrival.

I don’t personally use them but Kenbo on the forum always recommends them and may be able to give you more information.

If you email airparkalicante.com or phone 674 216 123 they offer parking near the airport and a a meet and greet service, you drop your car at the airport, they meet you, drive your car back to their parking compound 5 mins away, then once you fly back in they come and meet you and drop your car off. Competitive prices.

Thank you so much for your help. Just a bit worried about where they actually park the car up when they take it as you hear some stories about your car being used while in some of these places. I'll have a look though 😊

As Pedro says I do use and recommend Sunstar parking.
Heike and Jorge are excellent, they use the public carpark of the airport for the changing over of your car, mostly they manage to get parked on the lower level so just a 5 min stroll across the bus station to your car.
When you are outbound you also leave it there, send a pic via WhatsApp to Heike of where you have parked and they will collect and take the car over to their secure compound for the duration of your absence, they track your inbound flight and park the car in the public car park for your arrival, whoever drives the car out of the airport pays the exit fee at the pay station, usually between €1and €2, they usually try to park very close to a pay meter.
It really is a very stress less experience.

PS I have now been using Sunstar for 15 months, during that time myself and extended family have probably had 14/15 visits to Spain, we always take a pic of fuel gauge and mileage, the only added kilometres are when they take your car to the compound and on your return they give it a simple wash at a petrol station nearby and then to the airport, all in all app 13/14 added kilometres and that has been the case every time.
