looking for apartment in Elche.

With a lovely Spanish wife and living in an all Spanish environment in Navara, northern Spain: I am eagerly seeking a second home where there are ex-pats. Before I go farther, therefore, would like to hear from anyone who knows if there is a vibrant Ex-pat community in Elche. Is there? How many Ex-pats live in Elche, year-round, where congregate? Am planning to be there mostly in the winter months. Thank you for any information.
