What that has to do with her doing a magnificent job?

She clearly stated that she would not accept one death from the virus on her watch, how different from the vile Johnson herding policy, survival of the fittest, economy first lives secondary

Erm the clue was the original post where the salary cut was cited as an example..... She is so magnificant that the New Zealand people didn't even give her mandate to govern without forming a coalition, unlike in the UK where the socialists were routed with their worst results for 80 years.

I agree Fleetpete.  We're talking about her leadership skills, not how much she earns, but seeing as Balmer9 raised it, I'm delighted to hear Jacinda Ardern earns more than BoJo - she's worth it.

Kind regards,

Kim

.Appears the people of NZ disagree, she couldn't form a government without a coalition, this is what the New Zealand Herald thinks of her....... Ardern is charismatic, she smiles a lot, she nods a lot, she says inspirational things and you want to believe her.

But slowly it's being undone. The Empress has no clothes. She lacks commercial and interpersonal acumen. She is not a natural leader, she's indecisive and farms things out too much _ reports, reviews, committees, working groups.

On the big issues she sits on the fence. Even on the small ones she says she will "take advice".

What's worse is that this week it seems she lacks genuine empathy. She runs a seemingly inept inner circle – her office is shambolic.

She's no CEO but she would make a great Head of Marketing and Communications – a lot of talk – a lot of PR, no substance.

Not transformational, not open honest and transparent, not decisive, not even aware of what's going on within her own party.

Brought to the table with so much fanfare and goodwill, Ardern has proceeded to do not a lot more than work the international stage, appoint working groups and let others decide things.

She's "listening" she keeps telling us. Well that's all well and good but sometimes a leader has to act.

I really find praising any result, for any party, using the antiquated electoral system extremely amusing.

Most of the time the ruling party gets about 40% of the vote and they call it a landslide!!

Sums up the UK really, stuck in the 19th century.

Back on point I note the fact that she and other leaders of responsible, compassionate, competent governments, who acted quickly is ignored by you, obviously you're still believing Bojo the clown and presumably the orange psychopath in the USA are the role models for good governance.

Ah so that takes her salary with the cut to 203k a year compared to the British PM of 160k a year..... She couldn't even get enough votes in her own Country to form a government without a coalition... Red tinted glasses it would appear by some when looking at her..

Are you quoting GBP or NZD?  Regardless, if I had a choice I would go with Jacinda every time.

Frankly Bojo and his cronies should be tried for manslaughter, the list of their deliberate actions or inactions have cost lives.

Waste of oxygen talking to the blinkered time will show the wiser.

What's scary is that there are so many halfwits out there who believe in them, the UK government now resembles the regime in prewar Germany.

I watched a series recently on BBC about the rise of the 3rd reich, and the way they took control, character assassinations and worse, media manipulation etc. is frighteningly reminiscent of the vile fascist tory regime now in Whitehall.

I hate it when people harp on about WW2, it's history and should remain that way, but the very thing we tried to eliminate is now breeding in the UK and the lemmings cant see it, that's how Hitler came to power, propaganda, control the media etc.

Most of the media  now in the UK are little more than government mouthpieces.

Hi ,couldn’t agree more , Johnson , was making an arse of the daily updates , couldn’t answer any questions , at least not sensibly , Now everyday , we have a new “presenter” on the update  ,and I don’t know if you’ve noticed , but when asked a question ,to which they don’t kno...

...w ,or don’t want to answer correctly , they start their answers with “ Of course we re doing / going to ..., whatever ,,they are lying scumbags ,and don’t have a clue what they are doing , ,and they “swap “ to another idiot telling the same lies daily .As regards that idiot having CV , I sincerely doubt it ... publicity stunt without a doubt !

Take care people and hope these idiots get their just deserts

This forum is becoming boring, it starting to sound like the Britain Bashing Forum, perhaps you should have all gone to New Zealand and not Spain, Hang on a minute I haven't heard anyone say anything positive about the Spanish government either. It sounds like you have all become Stir Crazy and thank god you live in Spain and not here. I suppose when you all get elderly and suffer ill health you will all want to come back to this country that you don't seem to have a good word about. Remember stay positive, keep safe, it is a time for togetherness.

3.5 million live in Wales 780+ deaths does that make a comparison?

Germany, Vietnam, South Korea, Sweden, Denmark, some with comparable populations some more, some less.

All dealt with the outbreak quickly and effectively in comparison to the UK.
