By the time any new owner became fluent enough in Spanish to read legal forms they would be in right problems with last taxes. Really not a helpful comment is it.

well in the end until we're fluent enough to decipher the Spanish tax system we're staying with our french lawyer. From what French expats say, if the French lawyers makes a mistake in submission the tax returns he's liable as opposed to a gestor who isn't...so until we're able to clearly understand the Spanish tax system we'll stay with him.

Sensible, we use our solicitor that did our house buy. They charge but are really good. Get regular updates on issues, tips etc. Plus will translate it help if required. Well worth the outlay and no worries as we don't live them permanently

Yes there's some things just aren't worth the hassle: having just recently done the ITV I think that will also be subcontracted out to the long term car parking company!

I have a specific question on actually paying the tax due.
I am happy with the filing of form 210 and submitting it and my bank will make the payment for me but I'd like the convenience of doing it myself.
With this in mind I went to the trouble of obtaining a digital signature last year but haven't yet used it.
So I have submitted the form this year and noticed that there was a box to put in my Spanish bank account number.
Does this mean that they will automatically debit my account when its due or is there another website I need to actually go into and use my digital signature to do it?

Folks,
I'm ex-Revenue, in Ireland, but got a digital cert (DNI) and can see what has been done for me by my solicitor.
I'll pay a solicitor, but am happy that it's surprisingly doable, on your own.

It is easy. I'm a UK qualified accountant and I completed the return back in May and printed it off after submission. As it wasn't due then I thought I'd pay it now so just wanted to log in for the payment process final stage.
I could not find how to do that so I took the printed version to my bank and they paid it. So they knew how to just go in and pay it but I could not get from him the link I needed to do it myself. He just kept telling me that its no trouble for them to pay it for me if I complete the form, submit it and print off the calculation.
I think next time I will just leave it later, do the calculation and then pay it in one go myself.
