If you mean a Firestick from Amazon, then yes they do work in Spain. In fact anywhere where you have a stable internet connection. Why would they not?

Thanks Xaril. I am far from being technical and so want some UK TV but struggling to find the best option without being ripped off with ridiculous prices so wondered if this was a better option.

Hi Cathy

We have a sky box which we can use our U.K. card in as long as you do not connect to the internet, we also take our firestick but I am sure that you can’t get iPlayer, BBC, My5 or Channel 4 as you are using the internet and it flags up you are out of the country, we have got an app that allows us to stream everything, so if you know someone who can put this on the firestick at a small cost, then you will get everything for free.

THanks Carol.  It is a minefield trying to get something so simple.  I have heard of using a VPN so looking into that too

On a Firestick you have two options for uKTV.

Use a VPN and use the official apps from the broadcasters like iPlayer etc (the VPN hides the fact you are trying to access UK TV from outside the UK!)

Or find a pirate app / service.

A firestick is hardware designed to play streaming content

A VPN is software that you put onto a device (PC, laptop, tablet, firestick etc), to enable you to change the location of your device, enabling you to watch content from another country
