Did you actually go and have a look for yourself, rather than rely on what an estate agent told you? I live in Oliva, and much prefer the ambiance of Gandia where I regularly visit, especially when it comes to traffic free plaza's in which to watch the world go by. Its beach is also a great place...

... to spend the day. There's practically nowhere in Oliva where you can sit and have a drink or meal outside without cars and lorries whizzing by within a few feet.

The old town of Oliva has a high percentage of people of Roma descent and I've had no problem living among them. I lived in Brighton previously, which had regular unwelcome visits from 'travellers' who would set up caravan parks in any open space, including parks and along the seafront, and the local crime rate would increase exponentially before the council managed to evict them, leaving behind an unholy mess to be cleared up. To compare this with a settled community is a bit disingenuous

I was quoting an estate agent who lives in Gandia and rents and sells property there. He had no reason to lie to me.

As to Brighton, I knew someone who had lived in Brixton for years and moved to Brighton to open a book shop. I saw him some time later and he complained that he had had no trouble in Brixton (which has a bad reputation) but after a short time in Brighton, he had started carrying a knife, for defence.

...nce.

So let me get this straight... An estate agent who lives in Gandia, and rents/sells property there, puts people off living there? Sounds plausible 🙄... and frankly, your 'friend' who moved to Brighton sounds a bit of an aerosol to me. You'll forgive me if I take your posts with a pinch of salt
