Taking a TV back to UK on a Jet2 flight

I am returning to UK for good after 18 years. Don't really want to go back but age is approaching too fast and I want to take my Smart TV with me on the flight in the baggage hold. Any info on how much it would roughly cost to take back. The TV cost €700 and is 2 years old so don't mind paying excess baggage of around €100.

Any ideas on charges?

Find out what your airline charges for overweight baggage, and bear in mind improper handling when loading or unloading resulting in breakage.

We did the same in reverse some years ago and from memory it cost the same as a suitcase. We were a little alarmed to see it crashing down the chute onto the carousel at Alicante but amazingly it was all in one piece. However, it was brand new so still in original packaging. Hope you get on ok.

Hi Trotter

Not sure of the size but I think we will have to sell it before we leave Gran Alacant. Also other half has all his tools/ ladders

and all items concerning DIY. We have to clear out in May within 12 days!!!! not looking forward to it as I will miss GA.

Have you considered contacting some of the courier companies? Google and do some research. There is a place in Torrevieja on the Avenue de Valencia where you can collect and despatch. Half way down near Garcia furniture shop. Google address Call in the morning as they close for siesta I think. Good luck.
