Are you hoping to buy a a house for €110,000?  I imagine if you are happy to buy in the countryside, you should be able to get something suitable.  The closer you get to the coast, the more expensive the properties become.  Lots of people seem to love Almoradi and someone might help with advice eg name and contact details of estate agents.

On the other hand, if you want an apartment, you should be able to find something within your price range.

The weather here at present is very hot and will get hotter everyday as we head towards July and August.

Good luck.

I loved Mil palmares .Im gong through a very difficult time we had talked about it for years ,I think he is unsure about brexiit etc .So I’m going to have to wait and see , take care and enjoy your time over there. xxx

I am enjoying my breakfast in bed and catching up with the forum. I have read all the posts from start to finish and it is wonderful to see how many people love their lives living here in Spain.  I believe the sunshine makes us happy and looking out at the clear, blue sky makes me think that...

... I have stayed in bed for far too long. We have our son and his girlfriend staying so have been enjoying eating and drinking far more than usual but the pleasure of having their company is well worth it.

Fairy 108, where are you now? Uk or Spain?  Have you reached any decision regarding your future here? Like so many others, I believe that I prefer being here off season for purely selfish reasons. You can park your car usually, the sun isn’t too intense, you don’t feel obliged to race off with your sun bed to the beach , in fact, there is a wonderful laissez faire feeling .. no pressure on you to have to do anything.

I am not into joining societies nor do I feel the need to. My husband and I have become joined at the hip since our children flew the nest. We are happy together and enjoy life. Torrevieja is a working town and always a busy place. In the winter, we park our car on the outskirts and walk along the boardwalks all the way into town it is always buzzing.  We sit down and have coffee and something to eat and thank our lucky stars to be living this wonderful life. What a joy to escape the cold, damp winter of home.  On the other side of the coin, if and when we are at home, we equally have a wonderful life. We live in a beautiful area and enjoy a great social life there. Most of us are truly blessed. You don’t have to be rich if you are happy and enjoy good health. Just remember to make the best of your time here as we don’t know what the future holds.

Time to rise and shine!

Sorry I don’t think I replied to you !we are in U.K. suffering through another winter .My hub said he didn’t want to live in spain,he is the more cautious of us ,but it’s been a few years and I haven’t stopped wanting it and he has suggested that we go over for 12 weeks in October live as we would at home and see if we can do that .I’m not against doing six months in Spain and six in U.K. .Healthwise Spain in the winter months is better for my pain ( fibromyalgia) .Hope you are keeping well Rose ,my son who lives across the lane and his family all have covid ,luckily they were away last week so we didn’t have any contact with them .Take care .x

I would like to buy an apartment in Guardamar . I'm really curious how there is. I think I would first try to live there for a few weeks.
