The spray only affects mosquitoes; no problems re bats as we see them swooping around in the evening. It doesn’t even deal with wasps unless when they are spraying and it is still wet it lands directly on them. No, does not affect cicadas etc. I am sorry to disillusion you, but the coils and general outside ‘preventers’ have absolutely no effect in this area, it is impossible for me to go outside as nothing repels them and i live in misery. the only repellent which works for me is to liberally slather myself with a body covering lotion such as Autan, absolutely everywhere on my body before going outside. One has to remain in the house, together with any pets/animals for an hour after the ‘fogging’ done, and then perfectly safe.

There is also an American complete installation system, which is very expensive, which surrounds one’s property and which forms an invisible barrier, basically similar to fogging but permanently installed and which sprays 3 x times per day in small bursts. If we could afford it I would have it like a shot. They apparently use it in places such as Florida which are hell on earth as regards mosquitoes.

Hi everyone , we are returning to Javea this year after a gap due to being eaten alive by the tiger mosquitos on our last stay ,

Can anyone tell me if we are expecting the same craziness of 2016 ? Many thanks

Hi, I know this will not stop the bites, but it will stop the itching so the bite dies not irritate you,try an antihistamine non drowsy alt days it works for me .

We bought one February 2018. It seems to work. Either that or we have been very lucky. Not been bit in the house once.
