Schengen restrictions

The only people I have heard of are those who have not had their passports stamped but that wasn't even in Spain it was in Poland on a stag do weekend.

From what I see on my frequent trips the border guards are not interested and don't have the time to actually calculate how many days you have stayed.

Moreover, after all the costs of Alicante airport installing biometric/computerised scanners we are still waved aside to border control to have our passports stamped so the scanners are a waste of time for us, and will be forever while we have the need for a stamp.

I look forward to any responses.

Biometric scanners are due to be phased in gradually, with phase 1 starting in Oct this year and phase 2 to begin in April 2023. Then things will get interesting when all the schengen area information becomes available to each country.
