We are looking for a unit to cool our rooftop conservatory type room, which gets baking hot in summer months. However, I am unsure on how to vent the extracted warm air to the outside, as the usual systems come with a hose that is placed through an open window or door. Problem with this is that any window or door that is open (even slightly) provides another inlet for warm outside air to come inside, so it’s really a negative step in hot conditions, and places additional load on the unit as it will be constantly running to try and cool the incoming air - and are expensive to run in situations like this?!
