Hi. A couple of months ago a nice lady guided me to a corner shop in La Marina to by a bottle of gas. Unfortunately I cannot remember how to get back to it. It was on a hill and on the left hand side as you go down.  It was the only shop in the street and was in the middle of houses on the corner. Bottle cost 51 euros and the guy said it would only be 17 euros for a refill. Has anyone any ideas where this shop is.

Thanks for any help

Gordon

Blimey Gordon, 51 Euros? Don't pay that if you need a bottle in the future, they regularly change hands on forums and Facebook, and the going rate is almost always €10.

I think the shop you went to must have been Ferretería Soterin in Avenida Londres. Have a look at the image and see if that's right, and I'll give you directions if need be.

I get my refills from Supa Valu supermarket - they're cheaper there.

Geoff.

Hi Geoff. Thanks for replying. When I bought the bottle it was full. The picture you showed is not where I bought mine. They said a refill was 17 euros. What is the price at your one?

Thanks

Gordon

Sorry Gordon, but I don't know the latest price, as I haven't bought a refill recently, and the price changes from time to time. I've just always found Supa Valu to be cheapest.

I'm intrigued as to where the shop is that you're talking about. Was it La Marina village, or La Marina urbanisation? I've thought my way around both, and I can't picture where you mean. Could it have been Urbanisation Oasis (next to Urb. La Marina)? (see photo)

Hi Geoff. It was in the urbanisation. On a hill and on the corner on the left as you go down the hill. Only a small shop. a couple of steps up to get into the shop.

Well Gordon, I've lived here 15 years and you've beaten me - I can't think where it is you got your bottle, sorry!

Maybe somebody else on here will have a suggestion.

Geoff.
