Hello

My husband and I are thinking about coming to Spain.  Does anyone know if it is easier to get the residential visa in London or in Spain . Anyone knows if it is straight forward to apply and how long it takes.  Thank you

You have to apply for a visa yourself to the Spanish consulate in London or Manchester.  You will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements plus supply other documents as required.

The Income requirements for a couple would be around €34,000 per annum and you will need full private healthcare paid for a full year.

I also recommend you read through the link that Cheryl has given about non lucrative visas.

If you gain the NLV then you can move over to Spain and apply for residency within the first 90 days of arrival.
