Good morning,

The costs of installating a swimming pool largely depends on the type you are glimg for.  If its in the ground or partially half in/half out you will need  work licence/permits and authorisation before work begins.   A good company will apply for this on your behalf, mainly because if work is done without it, you and the Company can be heavily fined.

If you go for an above ground pool (and theres some really nice ones out there (Wooden Pools for example) then as it is classified as  'temporary' structure, you do not need any licences, permits or authorisations to install. Note - if you then decide to build a decorative wall type structure around it, it then becomes a 'permanent' structure of which  small works licence/permit will be required.

That said, if your planning on staying there indefinately then what the eyes cant see, the heart cant grieve!! (If you get my drift)

As for companys, I would suggest looking at local reputable pool constructors as opposed to the large Companies.  Also, if you go for inground, consider pahing the IVA.  It covers you legally.

Hope thiz helps
